Chantal Horeis is an illustrator based in Stockholm, Sweden. I relate to her in the way she is very focused on nature and on slice-of-life subject matter in contrast to many others who focus on existing IP (intellectual property) or fantasy themes.
The hues she often employs are burnt oranges, oxygenated reds, autumn yellows and olive greens. The amount of detail she puts into stems, branches, leaves, petals and buds is exquisite and organic.
An intriguing theme she applies to some of her pieces displays minerals or stones with colorful and detailed plant-style motifs wrapping around the surfaces in a collection with mysterious writing. If it‘s an artistic experiment, I would deem it a success.
Lots of great work to admire here that I find personally inspiring.
